Paul Watson was expected to meet with lawyers today to discuss his controversial ITV1 documentary Malcom And Barbara: Love's Farewell.
The film maker followed Alzheimer's sufferer Malcom Pointon and his wife Barbara for eleven years to show the effects of the disease. Publicity material released about the programme indicated that it ended with Malcom passing away, but ITV was later forced to admit that the documentary's final scenes show Malcom slipping into a coma; he died three days later.
Following the row over the documentary, ITV appointed legal executives from media firm Olswang to investigate the matter. The Sun claims that the lawyers were ready to speak to Watson today as part of the inquiry.
Malcom And Barbara: Love's Farewell airs on ITV1 tomorrow at 9pm.
