ITV is reportedly planning substantiative changes to the presentation of its news bulletins.
According to The Guardian, ITV plans to take its news output "back to basics" by paring back graphics and having presenters adopt a more formal style.
The paper, citing unnamed sources, said that the network's director of news and sport, Mark Sharman, "is keener on gravitas than graphics."
It is expected that as part of the changes, Evening News anchors Mark Austin and Mary Nightingale will sit instead of stand.
