The National Association of Broadcasters is to become the official partner for the European Radio Awards.

The ceremony will now be part of the 15th annual NAB European Radio Conference in Barcelona, being held between 4-6 November, with the prize giving on November 5.

"We’re delighted with the partnership. NAB has a long and successful history in Europe. It makes perfect sense that the European Radio Awards should take place at Europe’s premier radio conference," said Ian Carless, managing director, European Radio Awards.

Spread across ten categories, 34 awards are up for grabs, with a strong focus on individual and team entries, technology driven radio and Internet only radio stations.

"We’re very excited to be part of this new initiative. NAB has been at the forefront of change, leading the charge for broadcasters around the world. The European Radio Awards provide an excellent showcase of the best work by broadcasters across Europe’s diverse and dynamic radio markets," said Margaret T Cassilly, vice president, International Operations, NAB.

The European Radio Awards, organised by Talkabout Media, is open to all radio stations based within the European Union. The closing date for entries is October 12.
