Firefly Productions is to make a fourth series featuring the German anatomist Dr Gunther Von Hagens.

According to Broadcast, Gunther's ER will see Von Hagens give three lectures looking at how the human body is treated after an accident.

Emma Rand of the British Red Cross and Dr John Heyworth - an accident and emergency consultant at Southampton University Hospitals - will be involved in the demonstrations, which will show how doctors prioritise treatment in the emergency room.

The controversial Von Hagens - who is best known for his touring 'Body Worlds' exhibition that includes specially preserved human bodies - has already been the feature of three programmes for Firefly: Anatomy for Beginners, Autopsy: Life or Death and last year's Gunther von Hagens' Body Appeal. Mentorn also produced the first live autopsy performed by von Hagens in 2001.

The new series is planned for October on Channel 4.
