GCap is to take the production of its network Sunday chart show in house.

From 2008, Hit 40 UK will be produced by a team overseen by GCap's content and digital programme director Pete Simmons.

For the past four years, it has been produced by Somethin' Else, who will continue to produce the Fresh 40 dance chart in association with Emap.
