Nigel Dacre has quit as managing director of Ten Alps Digital to set up a new form specialising in the development and launch of internet television channels.
During his time at Ten Alps, Dacre - a former editor of ITV News - oversaw the launch of Public TV and Kent TV. He will continue to work as a consultant with Ten Alps on local government TV and Peace Channel TV.
"I’ve very much enjoyed my time at Ten Alps. It’s an inspirational company to work for. But I’ve got of lot of ideas on internet TV projects, and this seems the right time to branch out on my own," said Dacre. "The internet TV business is growing at a rapid pace, and I think the next 12 months will be crucial in the development of the sector."
Dacre's new company, Inclusive Digital, plans to launch two channels early next year.
