The BBC will make its coverage of the Six Nations Championship available on its iPlayer service.

Every match in the championship will be made available on a seven day catch-up basis when it starts this Saturday. It is the first major sporting event to be made available on iPlayer since its consumer launch last December.

"We want viewers to be able to watch the best sporting action wherever and whenever they can, so getting the Six Nations onto BBC iPlayer is a major step forward," said Ben Gallop, BBC Sport's head of interactive. "The Six Nations is a fantastic event and rugby fans can now catch up with the ups and downs of the championship at their leisure."

Live coverage of the event will be simulcast on the BBC Sport website.
