The BBC is in talks to split up and sell off the division that owns its studios, post production and outside broadcast operations.

The corporation is reportedly close to agreeing deals for BBC Resources and wants it finalised next month though staff pensions have become a sticking point.

Studio business Pinewood Shepperton, chaired by ITV executive chairman Michael Grade, is believed to be one of the potential buyers.

MP John McDonnell has said he will bring up the issue in Parliament as employees are concerned about their pensions in the sell-off.
