Nuts TV is to structure its programming around four key genres in what it calls the "second phase" of its development.

From 8-9pm each evening the theme will be "cops and crashes", 9-11pm football, 11pm-midnight "fights and darts" and midnight-1am girls.

A marketing campaign to promote the genres, under the new slogan "Nuts TV - Get it Regularly", is expected to launch in mid-May.

Director of programming Joe Talbot said: "I am very happy to announce the evolution of Nuts TV into its second phase.

"(We) are confident that it will appeal directly to those young male viewers and create more business opportunities for advertisers.

"We aim to deliver enough variety and quality on a regular basis to keep them hooked in and wanting to come back for more."

The channel is also introducing new shows including Rubbernecker!, a collection of motor vehicle accidents and stunts gone wrong; Bushido: Way of the Warrior, "professional wrestling meets mixed marshal arts"; and Destination Vienna, profiling the teams competing in the European Championships 2008.
