North One, the company which makes ITV's Formula One coverage, is in talks about producing for the BBC when the sport moves next year.
The independent production company won the sports honour for work on last year's Canadian Grand Prix at the BAFTA Television Awards last night.
Speaking after the ceremony, North One chief executive Neil Duncanson said he was disappointed that ITV's role was coming to an end. The sport will move to BBC One after the corporation agreed a four-year rights deal last month.
"If I'm honest, it's a huge disappointment to see this come to an end," he said. "It has been a hell of a ride."
Duncanson added: "We haven't given up hope that maybe we could do something with the BBC. We are going to be talking to them in the coming weeks."
