Alexandra Burke got her big break through UK reality show The X Factor, which she first auditioned for in 2002 and subsequently won in 2008. Her first single, 'Hallelujah', broke a European sales record after clocking up over 105,000 downloads in one day and later became the 2008 Christmas No.1, the biggest selling record of the year and the fastest selling single ever released by a woman in the UK. Since her phenomenal debut, Burke has had four consecutive UK top 10 singles, including two further No.1s, and released a chart topping album.
