Amy Adams

Amy Adams is an actress who, after her first screen role in 1999's Drop Dead Gorgeous, relocated to Los Angeles to continue pursuing her career.

Adams initially struggled to make a breakthrough, despite appearing in the Leonardo DiCaprio-starring movie Catch Me If You Can, and was instead limited to television guest star appearances and small film roles. It wasn't until her Oscar-nominated performance in the 2005 indie film Junebug when she started to gain attention.

She followed this up with critically acclaimed performances in Enchanted and Sunshine Clearing. Two more Oscar nods came her way from roles in 2008's Doubt as Sister James and 2010's The Fighter as Charlene Fleming, the love interest of Mark Wahlberg's character Micky Ward.

Adams later appeared in The Muppets with Jason Segel.
