Drake

Born Aubrey Drake Graham, the recording artist and actor was born in Toronto, Ontario. He is the son of drummer Dennis Graham and educator Sandi Graham. He grew up in the wealthy area of Forest Hill with his mother after his parents divorced 5 years after his birth.

Drake began his acting career in Degrassi: The Next Generation, playing basketball star Jimmy Brooks.

In 2006 he launched his music career by releasing his first mix tape entitled 'Room for Improvement'. Three years later he released another mix tape called 'So Far Gone' which gained him both commercial and critical success. Due to this success, he released his debut album 'Thank Me Later' the following year.

He is a big fan of the Kentucky Wildcats and is also friends with their head coach John Calipari. So far in his career, Drake has worked with several other hip-hop artists, for example Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Kanye West, Eminem, Jay-Z, and Nicki Minaj. He currently has 12 number one singles on the Billboard Rap Songs chart which is more than any other artist. He is also the only person, other than 50 Cent to occupy the chart's top 3 positions at the same time.
