George Michael

George Michael is a British singer and songwriter who rose to fame as one half of the 1980's duo Wham!

The group had a series of successful singles including 'Club Tropicana', 'Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go' and the festive single 'Last Christmas'. The group released two albums both of which charted at number one in the UK album charts. Their second album 'Make It Big' reached number one in America.

Michael released his debut solo single 'Careless Whisper' in 1984 and the song shifted 6 million copies worldwide. Michael has since enjoyed a successful solo career and has released 5 studio albums.

Michael's personal life has been the subject of the media's glare after numerous arrests and a health scare in 2012.

The singer made a professional comeback at the Closing Ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics and is expected to release a new album this year.
