Girls Aloud are a pop girl group created through the ITV1 talent show Popstars The Rivals in 2002, and the unchanged lineup consists of: Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh.

They have released five studio albums, two live albums, one remix album and 21 singles.

Since 2008 when Cheryl Cole agreed to be a judge on Simon Cowell's X Factor, the band have been put on hold. In March 2012, Nadine confirmed that the band would regroup to start planning for a tour to begin in 2013.
