What he’s remembered for: Racing pundit, loud mouth and male chauvinist extraordinaire, John is the long-standing betting guru and presenter of Channel 4 Racing.

He refers to his wife Jenny as 'The Booby'. In 2006, they took part in Wife Swap alongside Edwina Currie and her husband. Edwina strongly objected to McCririck's habits, which included eating in bed and refusing to cook, clean and drive the car.

Famed for his outspoken attitude as much as his deerstalker hats, John has made a name for himself as a true Big Brother fan with regular appearances on Big Brother’s Little Brother and Big Brother’s Big Mouth since he took part in the celebrity version of the show in 2005.

His life post-Big Brother: Often to the dismay of fellow housemates, John spent a lot of time in the house in just his white Y Front pants. He upset his fellow housemates with unpopular views on women, refusing to join in tasks, walking around semi=naked and refusing to talk for three days in protest at not receiving the diet cola he had requested on the shopping list. He was evicted on Day 12 in eighth place.
