Lindsay Lohan is a film actress who has attracted the wrong sort of attention from the media in recent years due to her off-screen problems. With performances in The Parent Trap (1998), Freaky Friday (2003) and Mean Girls (2004) positively received, she was considered an exciting prospect for the future. However, in 2006 Lohan started attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, before an eventful 2007 saw her check into rehab three times, arrested for DUI twice and plead guilty to misdemeanor cocaine use. Her troubles heavily disrupted filming schedules during this time period. After a high-profile relationship with Samantha Ronson, the actress' problems resurfaced in 2010 when a court judge ruled that she violated the terms of her probation, and was sentenced to a 30-day stay in jail. She failed a drug test in September and was forced to enter rehab again, then was charged for stealing a $2,500 necklace in early 2011.
