Martin Clunes first became a household name in 1992 when he landed the part of Gary in hit British comedy Men Behaving Badly for which he would later win a BAFTA. In 2004, he sharply changed direction from childish office worker to irritable GP by starring in ITV comedy-drama Doc Martin. He has also played the eponymous character in the recent BBC remake of the 1970s sitcom The Rise and Fall of Reggie Perrin as well as making a number of documentaries on such topics as dogs and British Islands.
