Details: Mikey lost his sight while undergoing an operation at the age of 23 and has been blind for ten years. He works as a radio producer for blind radio station Radio Insight and was part of a team that won a Sony Radio Academy Award last year. He is extremely proud of his career and feels privileged to be doing what he does. Mikey describes himself as wacky, zany and non-conformist, and says his best ability is to make others laugh. His favourite party trick is to do a stand-up comedy routine dressed in girls’ clothes.
