Torrential rain threatens 'I'm A Celeb'

The current series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! may have to be called off because of torrential rain, The Mirror claims.

The show's producers allegedly held crisis talks as participants abandoned the camp to take shelter in the Bush Telegraph.

Trials executive Chris Lore said: "It's the hardest we've ever been hit."

A source added that forecasts for electrical storms, strong winds and flash floods were a threat to the show's future. "This is the worst the weather has been for a series and plans are being made for all possible outcomes."

Contestant Esther Rantzen also voiced her concerns about the extreme conditions, saying: "They evacuated the camp just in time. We might have been swept away."
