Viewers of the ITV1 reality series saw the couple grow close in the Australian jungle last month, but they were torn apart when Marc was voted off and had to fly back to the UK to face the wrath of his long-term girlfriend Sarah Matravers.
After being dumped by Sarah, Marc sent a letter to Cerys and offered to fly back to Australia for her, but he later changed his mind and was not present for her eviction on Thursday night, which prompted speculation that he planned to dump her.
However, the pair have now declared their feelings for each other in a 30-minute phone call - and Cerys believes that Marc could be her soulmate.
"It was a lovely call. Marc told me how bad he felt about Sarah, we both do. I feel guilty because I don't like to cause any hurt. I never wanted that," Cerys told the News of the World. "I never went into the jungle looking for love. I can't believe how quickly I fell for someone in such a short space of time.
"But yes, I'm in love with Marc and I think he feels the same. I'd like us to spend the rest of our lives together - I've found a soulmate and because I'm a hopeless romantic I want to be with him for ever. We're going to take things slowly but I've a really amazing feeling about us."
Marc added: "[Sarah] was not suitable - my heart tells me I need to be with Cerys. I hope to settle down and have children with the right woman. I think Cerys is that woman."
