Marc Bannerman's ex-girlfriend Sarah Matravers has fled the country until the media interest in her break-up with the actor dies down.
Matravers was left heartbroken after Bannerman publicly humiliated her by getting close to fellow I'm A Celebrity... campmate Cerys Matthews.
Earlier this week the actress told Cerys and Marc that they could "rot in hell" for what they have put her through.
She has now flown to America with a friend for a casting and will prolong her stay there to take her mind off the public interest in her ex.
Matravers said: "These last few weeks have been dirty, messy and sordid, but at least it's a clean break".
Before she left for the States, she added: "I’m taking my best friend. We'll have a holiday, then I'll be back to face 2008."
