Cerys 'still optimistic about love'

Cerys Matthews has revealed that she has not given up on love following her split from Marc Bannerman.

The singer dumped her I'm A Celebrity... co-star last month, claiming he had a controlling personality and was unable to cope with her children.

She said she is still optimistic about finding her ideal man, telling The Times Magazine: "Nobody settles down with someone thinking it's going to end.

"We're all of us in love with the idea of being in love and I don't ever want to lose that optimism or, if you'd rather, naivety, that belief in the dream."

Matthews, 38, is now focusing on recording her new album.
