Will Mellor was crowned the winner of the first Celebrity Fame Academy this evening.

Will polled the most votes from viewers, pipping comedian Ruby Wax to the post in the live final during the Comic Relief telethon on BBC One.

More than 4 million votes were cast over the course of the week, raising £600,000 for the cause.
