Comic sales figures for May announced

Marvel's chart-topper earned first place in terms of both quantity and dollar rank. It was followed by DC's Batman: Battle For The Cowl #3.
Marvel Comics accounted for seven of the top ten entries, with DC claiming the other three. The highest place independent book was Dark Horse's Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 8 #25, which took 14th spot.
In the graphic novel charts, Top Shelf beat the big two to first place with League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Century 1910. Both DC and Dark Horse claimed three of the remaining top ten places each, while Marvel and IDW Publishing occupied one apiece.
In terms of market share, Marvel emerged as the front-runner, beating closest rival DC in terms of units and profit. Dark Horse took third spot, followed by IDW and Image Comics in forth and fifth respectively.
