Doctor Voodoo faces 'horrible darkness'
Published Monday, Jun 22 2009, 09:02 BST | By Hugh Armitage

In his new title Doctor Voodoo: Avenger of the Supernatural, Jericho Drumm will face the unnamed evil force responsible for supernatural disturbances across the Marvel Universe.
Drumm, formerly known as Brother Voodoo, replaced Doctor Strange as Marvel’s eminent sorcerer in New Avengers #53, when the mystic talisman, the Eye Of Agamotto, chose him as its next user.
"The reason the Eye chose him is that there's a terrible coming darkness in the Marvel Universe, and we're going to be building that in the series," said Rick Remender, writer of the forthcoming series, said to Comic Book Resources. "I'm incredibly excited about it. There's going to be a lot of fun reveals."
The Marvel Universe is already feeling the effects of this sinister enemy’s approach, with vampires taking over London, a zombie invasion, and the ongoing activities of the demonic crime-lord The Hood.
Doctor Voodoo: Avenger of the Supernatural is scheduled to launch in October 2009.
