Harvey Award 2009 nominees announced

The Harveys, which will take place in October at the Baltimore Comic-Con, are the only comic awards nominated and selected exclusively by industry professionals. The awards are named after late artist and editor Harvey Kurtzman.
The best writer nominations go to Kyle Baker for Nat Turner, Ed Brubaker for Captain America, John Gallagher for Buzzboy, Jeff Kinney for Diary Of A Wimpy Kid and Grant Morrison for All-Star Superman.
DC Comics' All-Star Superman, Marvel Comics' Captain America, Amulet Books' Diary Of A Wimpy Kid, Image Comics' Mice Templar and Dark Horse Comics' Umbrella Academy have been nominated for best continuing or limited series.
