Tom DeFalco to revive 'Spider-Girl'

The offspring of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson first appeared in her own series in 1998, facing cancellation on several occasions before the book was discontinued earlier this year.
Due to popular demand, the character will appear in a 16-page instalment within the upcoming Spider-Man book.
"Spider-Girl has the greatest, most dedicated fan base in the history of comics and we think everyone deserves a chance to share the love - and the Hoo-HA excitement that Ron Frenz, Sal Buscema and I bring to each and every episode," DeFalco told Newsarama.
The protagonist's arc takes place outside of normal Marvel Universe continuity, with the heroine having previously appeared in the publisher's What If series.
"I like to think that she's a fun, exciting and inspiring character who appears in one of the last traditional, Marvel-style, superhero comics that is jammed to overflowing with action and angst," he added.
Web Of Spider-Man #1 will be released in comic book stores and online via Marvel Digital in October.
