The first of the four novels produced for the e-book reader will be Joshua Fialkov’s (Cyblade, Princess Resurrection) Tumor. The first chapter is free, with further chapters costing 99 cents (60p).
"Archaia is consistently working to break the boundaries of comic book distribution," said Archaia’s director of development Stephen Christy.
"I’m psyched to be able to say that we will now be the first comic book company to produce a full-length graphic novel exclusively for the Kindle."
Tumor tells the story of a Los Angeles detective fighting to complete his final case before he succumbs to a brain tumour.
The second chapter will be available from August 3, with a new chapter following every three weeks.
Archaia also plans to release Star Trek and Heroes actor Zachary Quinto's Mr Dead on the Kindle in spring 2010.
