Marvel announces 'Necrosha' crossover
Published Monday, Aug 3 2009, 12:16 BST | By Hugh Armitage

The events of the story will be detailed in the pages of X-Force, New Mutants and X-Men Legacy as the heroes of these titles confront the army raised by the villainous and ancient mutant Selene from the remains of the millions of dead mutants on the island nation of Genosha.
Speaking at the X-Men panel at Comic-Con International, X-Force writer Chris Yost said: "You’ll see some familiar (and dead) faces start to show up in X-Force issue #18 through 20, leading up to the big kick-off in the X-Force: Necrosha one-shot.
"And while Selene will be using some of her new followers to exact some sweet revenge on all those who have crossed her... she has a much bigger endgame in mind."
"[There] will be casualties," added X-Men Legacy writer Mike Carey. "And not just in the obvious sense. People's lives will be changed by this, and again, it won't be limited to the people who are most obviously involved."
X-Force: Necrosha one-shot is out in October.
