Remender will then embark on a period where he will focus on his Marvel-exclusive work.
"The story hits the intended ending at issue #32, and readers will finally get a conclusion, no more cliffhangers," Remender told Comic Book Resources. "It’s a wrap."
The last story arc will mix wild-western themes with Fear Agent's typical sci-fi trappings. Remender called the concluding arc "the most nonlinear story [he's] ever written".
"Time consumption, the null bang and more Jellybrains… unbridled imagination is the name of the game on this last arc," he explained. "It’s also a good place to set it down and take a break for a while."
It was recently announced that Fear Agent would be made into a movie by Universal. Remender has estimated the cost of the film at $100 million (£59 million).
Fear Agent #27 is out now.
