'Playboy' runs 'Basterds' comic strip
Playboy magazine has published a comic strip based on Quentin Tarantino's forthcoming film Inglorious Basterds.

The US publication will run an adapted scene from the war movie, handpicked by the director himself. The strip will appear in its September issue and online via its website.

With illustrations by R.M Guera and Giulia Brasco, who also collaborated on Vertigo's Scalped, the comic runs for six pages and features the artists' impression of Brad Pitt, as well as co-stars Richard Sammell and Eli Roth.

Director Tarantino has previously expressed a keen interest in comic books, regularly appearing at major conventions.

Inglorious Basterds arrives in cinemas on August 19.
