Warners/Everett/Rex Features
The website recently published a preview image of the box art for the firms' latest collaboration Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, which listed a "sneak peak of the upcoming Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths" among the DVD's bonus features.
Neither DC nor Warners have offered any official word on the title, but its storyline is thought to be a reimagining of the classic comic book saga Crisis On Infinite Earths, which depicted the deaths of long-standing characters such as Supergirl and the Barry Allen incarnation of the Flash.
The Justice League last appeared in an animated feature in 2008, starring in The New Frontier. The film featured an all-star cast, with David Boreanaz, Neil Patrick Harris, Lucy Lawless and Kyle MacLachlan voicing members of the superhero team.
Superman/Batman: Public Enemies is released to DVD on September 29. Full details of Crisis On Two Earths are expected to follow.
