NBC to adapt 'Midnight Mass'
US television network NBC has picked up the rights to broadcast a live-action drama based on DC Comics' Midnight Mass.

Writers Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts will pen the script for Warner Bros TV and Jinks/Cohen Co, who will produce the project.

Published under DC's Vertigo imprint, the comic's storyline revolves around Adam and Julia Kadmons, a sophisticated, globe-trotting husband and wife team, who solve supernatural mysteries and fight crime. The series was created by John Rozum and debuted in 2002.

The news follows reports that Image's horror comic book The Walking Dead will be adapted for television by AMC and Frank Darabont.

A script for Midnight Mass is currently being drafted.
