Ardden unveils new comic line

Flash Gordon publisher Ardden Entertainment has unveiled a new line of comic books featuring Casper the Friendly Ghost and other classic children's characters.

The upcoming collection will also include strips starring Wendy the Good Little Witch and Hot Stuff. Its debut issue, titled Casper And The Spectrals, will arrive in the autumn to coincide with the character's 60th anniversary.

"Ardden Entertainment is extremely excited to be working with Classic Media on Casper And The Spectrals," said the publisher's Richard Emms. "We hope that this is the first of many adventures for us with Casper, Wendy and Hot Stuff."

Copyright holder Classic Media will celebrate the spook's milestone year with a brand extension programme, launching new lines of merchandise across multiple mediums. Dark Horse Comics will also reprint the 1949 original Casper the Friendly Ghost.
