It is believed that the original caped crusader's comeback will be told in two series written by Grant Morrison, The Search For Bruce Wayne and The Return Of Batman, according to Bleeding Cool. However, DC Comics has yet to confirm what lies ahead for the character.
Fans of Wayne have been left guessing about his fate after he was seen plunging into the ocean following a helicopter explosion in the conclusion to Morrison's Batman RIP arc last year.
Then, in January's Final Crisis #6, Superman is seen holding the decayed corpse of someone, possibly Bruce, wearing Batman's costume.
Subsequent books from DC have suggested Bruce may be lost in time.
Morrison is expected to continue his Batman saga in summer 2010.
