Archaia enjoys Kindle success

Tumor - a graphic novel that debuted exclusively on the Kindle last month - also entered Amazon’s top 20 graphic novel list.
"We're trying to do basically the same thing all independent publishers are, which is trying to figure out the problem of digital comics," Stephen Christy, director of development for Archaia, told Newsarama.
"Our big motto at Archaia is to try every digital device we can and figure out which works the best. We knew the Kindle wasn't colour going in, so obviously the first thing we could do to get around that was to just do the books in black and white.
"We believe the way [to attract people who haven't read comics before] isn't through superhero crossovers or endless summer events. It's just through doing good books that are accessible to everyone."
Tumor follows private investigator Frank Armstrong as he desperately attempts to solve his final case before succumbing to a fatal brain tumour.
Tumor is being published as eight separate chapters, with one released every three weeks.
