'Kick-Ass' movie to premiere in April

Based on the ultra-violent comic from Mark Millar (The Ultimates, Civil War) and John Romita Jr (Amazing Spider-Man, World War Hulk), Kick-Ass will open the week after The Loners, another live-action comic book adaptation.
Lionsgate acquired the distribution rights for the film in August. It was financed by Vaughn himself after studios refused to pick it up at the script stage.
Kick-Ass follows the adventures of unnoticed teenager Dave Lizewski who transforms himself into a real-life superhero.
