Musician Pete Wentz's Fall Out Toy Works miniseries has debuted this week alongside the teaser for a motion comic adaptation.

The Fall Out Boy guitarist's five-issue series was co-created with designer Darren Romanelli, penned by Brett Lewis (Bulletproof Monk) and drawn by Sam Basri.

Image released a trailer for the forthcoming Fall Out Toy Works digital motion comic, which shows a robotic bee with a bowler hat flying through a futuristic city and encountering a smiling android woman.

The series is described as a 21st century makeover of the cult German silent film Metropolis.

Wentz joins the ranks of musicians-turned-comic creators including My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way, author of the Eisner Award-winning Umbrella Academy.
