The publisher's executive editor Dan DiDio said that there were several projects being discussed for 2010 in which the superhero could feature.
He told Newsarama: "We have a number of team books and a lot of space-epic stories, which Animal Man might fit nicely in.
"That's a character that everybody gets excited about. We'll be seeing more of Animal Man in 2010."
Animal Man is currently featuring in a six-issue miniseries set in the future and billed as being Buddy Baker’s final adventure.
The Last Days Of Animal Man #5, by Gerry Conway and Chris Batista, is out September 30.
