Archie Comics signs with CAA

The partnership could see the publisher's properties, such as popular comic book character Archie Andrews, make the move from the page to television or the big screen.
Archie Comics has explored other media in the past. Andrews and his friends have starred in radio shows, cartoons and a feature-length animation over the last four decades. In 2001, a movie adaptation of its Josie And The Pussycats property arrived in theatres, starring Rosario Dawson and Rachel Leigh Cook.
The firm also found success on television with its Sabrina The Teenage Witch series, which ran throughout the mid-'90s.
Archie Comics is one of the longest-serving publishers in the industry, first appearing on the scene as MLJ Comics in 1939.
