DiDio talks the new 'Titans' team
DC executive editor Dan DiDio has revealed a new direction for Titans following the departure of its current roster.

Speaking on Newsarama's weekly '10 Answers & a Question' feature, DiDio announced that the title would not be cancelled, but instead feature a new lineup led by the mercenary and assassin Deathstroke.

"You'll see a lot of familiar faces, and maybe a couple [of] new ones," said DiDio. "And more importantly, it's being led by Deathstroke.

"So I think you'll see a new direction for the series, and hopefully, people will stick on board. I don't want to give away what the story is about, but it's tied very closely to Titans lore, and it's also tied very closely to a lot of events taking place in Justice League.

"So a lot of your familiar faces of Titans, just because they might be on other teams doesn't mean you won't be seeing them in the book."

Current Titans members Donna Troy, Starfire and Cyborg are leaving to join the League of Superheroes, while Beast Boy and Raven look to be returning to the Teen Titans.

DiDio added that there would be a "clear delineation" between the Titans and the Teen Titans and their goals.

Villain and sometime anti-hero Deathstroke has a long history of antagonism with the Titans, the JLA and the majority of superheroes in the DC Universe.
