Moore, whose first published work appeared in fanzines in the 1970s, described Dodgem Logic as "the 21st century's first underground magazine" offering "subterranean exotica in a bleached-out cultural and social landscape".
The fanzine will be published by Knockabout, one of the few companies Moore will work with after his highly publicised disputes will Marvel and DC.
Dodgem Logic will make use of local Northampton talent, as well as "numerous friends and co-conspirators" including The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen's Kevin O'Neill and comedienne Josie Long.
The first 40-page issue, featuring a free CD celebrating 50 years of Northampton music, is released in November.
