Marvel
The three-issue 'Who was Ben Reilly?' arc forms part of the revisited 'Clone Saga' storyline.
Guggenheim is ending his run on Spider-Man to focus on his writing for ABC's new sci-fi TV series FlashForward.
"[When] I started doing this Ben Reilly storyline, I thought, this is a good note for me to leave on," he told Newsarama. "This is an arc that's been getting some buzz, I've had fun writing it, I'm please with the way it's turning out, so why not leave on a high note."
'Who was Ben Reilly?' sees the mysterious character Raptor attacking Peter Parker, mistaking him for Reilly.
Reilly is a clone of Spider-Man who was for some time believed to be the original.
The story arc begins in this week's Amazing Spider-Man #608.
