Marvel previews 'Powers Encyclopedia'
Published Friday, Oct 23 2009, 09:10 BST | By Hugh Armitage
The comic promises to be the 'definitive' guide to Brian Bendis's superhero-noir series, which is published by Marvel's Icon imprint.
The encyclopedia contains entries on Powers' leading characters as well as those who are yet to debut in the series.
Powers tells the story of detectives Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, who specialise in homicide cases involving superheroes.
"The most requested Powers item has finally arrived," wrote Marvel in its press release.
"Heroes glide through the sky on lightning bolts and fire. Flamboyant villains attempt daring daylight robberies. God-like alien creatures clash in epic battle over the nighttime sky. And on the dirty city streets below, homicide detectives Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim do their jobs.
"Now, an in-depth look at the Eisner Award-winning series in this all-new volume."
Powers Encyclopedia is released on November 18.
