IDW announces 'Transformers' spinoff
Published Tuesday, Oct 27 2009, 17:51 GMT | By Mark Langshaw

The four-issue comic is written by Zander Cannon with artwork from Chee. The storyline follows on from IDW's forthcoming Transformers #1, serving as the second part of the publisher's new trilogy of books based on the Hasbro toys.
"As one of our writers observed, 'Everybody loves Bumblebee'," said editor Andy Schmidt. "And given his new position amongst his fellow Transformers, we just had to give him the spotlight."
The saga begins in November with Transformers #1. Bumblebee's solo outing will bridge the gap between the new series and the concluding book Transformers: Last Stand Of The Wreckers.
Transformers: Bumblebee #1 (of 4) will be available in stores in December.
