Angel to get Hollywood makeover
Writer Brian Lynch has lifted the lid on his Hollywood parody Last Angel in Hell.

The one-shot reimagines Angel’s adventures as if they were being told on the silver screen.

Lynch told CBR: "Angel is no longer a vampire with a soul, he's hard-ass cop Angel Cartwright.

"Angel just lost his partner Wesley and is afraid of connecting with other people.

"Through the course of the movie he learns to trust again. And blows stuff up. And has sex. And has sex while stuff blows up."

The scribe, who co-plotted Angel: After the Fall with Joss Whedon, said that this version of Angel is inspired by Nicolas Cage.

Hollywood's Angel is in love with a female Spike and still friends with Gunn, who is inspired by Lost's Jorge Garcia.

Last Angel In Hell, also known as Angel Annual #1, is due out in December.
