Mark Waid details 'Strange'
Published Thursday, Nov 5 2009, 04:08 GMT | By Mark Langshaw

Illustrated by Emma Rios, the four-issue comic focuses on Doctor Stephen Strange as he embarks on a quest to protect the Marvel Universe from supernatural forces with the help of his new sidekick Casey Kinmont.
"The first two issues are standalone adventures, but the third spills over into the climax of issue four as things get way, way out of hand," Waid told CBR.
"Still, the most important part of every issue is the character interaction. We can't afford to waste the opportunity to enjoy seeing Stephen Strange as a relaxed, ordinary guy (with one new, very strong, very dark secret that's percolating inside him and will eventually be revealed at a most inopportune time)."
The scribe went on to say that working with artist Rios was one of the highlights of the project. "Emma's a huge fan of Stephen and of his earliest adventures, and she's a terrific storyteller," he added. "I couldn't wait to work with her there. Her imagination is top-notch, and her skill is stunning."
Strange will be available from November 11.
