Published by Infernal Multimedia, the digital comic is equipped with Microsoft Silverlight page-turner technology and is accompanied by an original audio score. Featuring illustrations by Montreal-based artist Jennifer Laoun-Rubenstein, the project was written and directed by Sean Powell.
"Online web comics are part of a growing culture, featuring many talented writers and artists, using the internet as a platform to share their creativity," said Sean Powell, who also founded Infernal Multimedia.
"We wanted to create a 'graphic novel' that is unique and free for anyone who is looking to kill time and have fun on the web. The audio score is what makes Urban Inferno stand out. It promises to really bring you into the world and push the art even further to create a diverse multimedia experience for our readers."
Readers are further encouraged to submit their own ideas for characters and short stories on the graphic novel's forums.
Urban Inferno is available now via the comic's official website and on the iPhone in the future. New chapters will be added at regular intervals.
