The one-shot, part of the X Necrosha crossover event, follows Black Queen Selene as she raises dead mutants of the Marvel Universe in a quest for vengeance against those she believes wronged her.
Yost announced that she recruits Dazzler's half-sister Mortis, former Acolyte Senyaka, X-Force villain Eli Bard, New X-Men runaway Wither, and fan-favourite Blink.
He told Marvel.com: "Selene wanted her own little coven, kind of like Emma Frost.
"We'll see that as much as she may hate Emma Frost, she saw that it wasn't a bad idea to have your own little group of worshippers and powerful mutants that would kill for you and die for you."
X Necrosha: The Gathering is out on December 2.
